Saturday, March 26, 2015 from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Helen Chamber of Commerce will host the 27th Annual Trout Tournament. There will be over $2,000 in prizes for Tagged Fish! Top 3 prizes are by Individual Weight for Tagged Trout:1st Place $1000, 2nd Place $500, 3rd Place $250, $50 for the next 20 tagged trout, and $25 for additional tagged trout. Hot Air Balloons Are Back June 2-4, 2016

June 2, 2016, Helen will host the 43rd Annual Helen to the Atlantic Hot Air Balloon Race. The race will begin at 7 a.m. (weather permitting). While the race to the Atlantic proceeds, other balloonist will compete in local events beginning Thursday evening around 6:00 pm. Local flying events will take place on Friday and Saturday. There will be many opportunities available to the public - assisting with the inflations, being a part of a chase crew, taking a tethered ride in a balloon or a champagne flight over the mountains. May 7, 2016 Reel Men Ministries from Center Baptist Church presents the 12th Annual Fishers of Men Trout Tournament. The tournament will begin at 7:00 a.m. at the Cool River Tubing. January 11, 2017 - Brave the cold weather and join us for the annual Faschingsverein's River Tubing Parade. Parade will start at the Helendorf Inn and proceed to the Riverbend Hotel where participants will then float down the Chattahoochee River to the Festhalle.
