June 16, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. the City of Helen will have an open meeting for discussion of the 10 Year Comprehensive Plan. Everyone is welcome to come and participate in the future planning of White County, City of Helen and City of Cleveland. The 2015 Comprehensive Plan Survey is available at Helen City Hall for those who wish to complete it prior to the meeting.
The White County Celebrity Golf Tournament for 2016 is April 11-12th. The event will again be conducted at the Innsbruck Golf Club in Helen. This event, benefiting the United Way of White County, is the largest fund raiser of the year, and proceeds help fund over 8 White County charitable agencies. The night before the tournament (11th), celebrities, players, and the public gather for a reception at Bigg Daddys American Tavern and Restaurant to collect autographs and share stories of home runs and touchdowns! Team players bid for the celebrity they would like to play with. The reception and dinner at Bigg Daddys begins at 5.30 pm and the public is invited.
