2016 Yaarab Shriner's Parade

Join us for the annual Yaarab Shriner's Parade, Saturday June 11 at 2:00 p.m. in downtown Helen. This event is fun for kids and adults as the shriner's make their way down Main Street in their mini cars and trucks.

2016 Bavarianfest

May 28 from 6 p.m. - 11 p.m. the Helen Chamber of Commerce will honor our Military Servants at the Festhalle. Experience a live Oompah band, dancing, and a festive German atmosphere. There will be imported and domestic beers and wines, soft drinks, wurst on a bun with sauerkraut, hot dogs and snack available for sale. The first Commission Meeting for November (November 3) has been changed to November 2 due to voting. The time remains at 10:00 a.m.

Helen Police Department would like you to join them for the monthly Coffee with a Cop. There are no agenda, or speeches, just a chance to ask questions, voice concerns, and get to know the officers in your neighborhood. 2015 Civil War Expo

This Civil War re-enactment features skirmishes between the Union and Confederate armies, as well as Sutlers' villages, demonstrations, and camps. November 6-8 at the Riverside Park. 2019 Halloween Safe Night

Join us for Trick or Treat in a safe and fun environment. Halloween Safe Night will be October 31, 2019 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Helen City Hall. There will be candy, games, prizes, and much more.

2016 - A Day in the Park for Veterans

Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at the Riverside Park Pavilion, 854 Edelweiss Strasse, the City of Helen will host a cookout for US Military Veterans and their families in appreciation for their service and sacrifice. Lunch will be served from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Hotdogs, hamburgers and all the fixin's will be prepared by the City of Helen personnel, and desserts will be provided by members of Helen Arts & Heritage Center. Cost is free. So if you are a verteran, please make plans to join us.
