Helen City Hall has received many calls regarding openings/closings in our city. At the time of this writing, the only governmental offices closed are the White County libraries, the Senior Center and the White County Park and Recreational Center. In regards to local business closings, businesses are individually owned and are determining what is in the best interest for them and their employees. The City has not mandated the closing of any businesses. The Helen Visitors Center is asking any businesses that are changing their hours or closing due to the COVID-19 Virus (Coronavirus) concerns to please let them know so they can best inform our visitors (706-878-2181). Please be aware that the Georgia Restaurant Association has mandated that all restaurants restrict patrons to 30 or less at one time, including employees.
